The town's fireworks display will take place July 4th at approximately 9:30 and lsat about 30 minutes. This year the fireworks are returning to the waterfront. The display will be launched from 501 Cross street, the former Alger Oil property.
The display will be visible from from Wilmer Park and most waterfront areas in town, according to town manager Bill Ingersoll. The waterfront launch site will allow for incredible reflections in the river. Boaters should also be afforded spectacular viewpoints.
Quaker Neck Road will be will be closed between Radcliffe Creek Bridge and Wilmer Park from 6pm to 10pm except for residents of the affected area. Between 9pm and 10pm only emergency vehicles will be permited on the road. All others should use alternate routes such as Airy Hill Rd for travel between Quaker Neck and the town.
